The Siberian Husky Club of America have set up some basic guidelines to be qualified as husky breeders.

The Husky Breeders Stud Dog

- The stud god needs to be OFA certified and should be tested for hip dysplasia

- They eyes need to be checked once a year for no genetic disorders

- The husky stud should not have any hereditary faults and two normal descended testicles

- The husky breeders are obligated to discussing the advantages and disadvantages of the breeding.

- No substitution of stud dogs unless agreed by the owner of the bitch

The Husky Breeders Brood Bitch

- The husky brood bitch needs to be OFA certified and should be tested for hip dysplasia

- They eyes need to be checked once a year for no genetic disorders

- The husky breeders should required OFA certification for the stud dog

- The siberian huskies brood bitch should not have any hereditary faults and posess proper disposition

- The bitch should not be bred before two years of age

- The brood bitch should not be bred on successive seasons

The Breeding

- Breeding of two siberian huskies should never be done unless it is for producing a better dog.

- Breeding should never be done if the owner of the bitch can't take care of the litter

- The husky breeders needs to supervise the breeding for both dog's safety

- The husky breeders should give a good amount of time for socialization and to play with the litter

The Puppies

- Each husky puppy should be AKC registered with the signed pedigree

- The husky breeders need to have in mind the right type of owner for their litter

- The husky breeders should know the facilities that are availabe at the purchaser's house

- Any arranagments or guarantees need to be in writing
